College Old boys were worthy winners over Varsity in the Hankins Shield final at Arena Manawatu on Saturday afternoon 13 - 0, after leading 3-0 at half time.

Varsity had it's moments in the match to take the game, but the defensive effort of COB was outstanding and Varsity could find no way to unlock it. 

In other finals played on Saturday, Massey Rams lost to the Marist 2nd's at Bill Brown Park, while the unbeaten Varsity Colts side went through to defeat Linton Army at Ongley Park to claim the Under 21 Championship.

Well done to our teams for getting through to the finals and a special mention to the Varsity Colts side the won their grade.  Not so sure about the praying at the end of the game - but whatever rocks your boat.
