Two Maidens players have been selected into the EZIBUY Women’s NPC training squad, Lee Urlich (prop) and Clara Rodrigez (2^nd5). 

These players along with a number of others from the Maidens team have been in training with other Manawatu players, since May preparing themselves for the new challenge of the 1^st Division. 

There are three preseason games to be played, as a build up to the NPC, after which a playing squad will be named for the competition.  This is Lee’s second year in the team and will be looking forward to stepping it up into the 1^st division. 

Clara, who has recently come to NZ from Spain, is very excited to be named in the training squad, as she now can compare herself to those who have played at a higher level in Spain.

July 15: Manawatu vs.  Bay of Plenty - Taupo

July 22: Manawatu vs.  Hawkes Bay – Napier

July 29: Manawatu vs. Tasman – Palmerston North
