All BlacksNew Zealand won a Bledisloe Cup-Tri Nations match for the ages 32-12 at Jade Stadium in Christchurch on Saturday.

The bonus point win for New Zealand also established a record 19 successive wins at home for the side.

In warmer than expected conditions with no dew, the ball was thrown around by both sides in a thrilling, bruising contest.

It produced some superb defensive play, from the All Blacks especially, where the crucial impetus was achieved in the 10 minutes before half-time.

Australia was down to 14 men as No 8 Rocky Elsom paid for his persistent indiscipline when he was yellow-carded by referee Jonathon Kaplan and the All Blacks scored two tries in five minutes to wipe out the early advantage the Wallabies secured

The Wallabies had scored first when fullback Chris Latham was fed the ball from first five-eighths Dan Carter's 22m drop out. Latham ran, chipped ahead into space and split wing Rico Gear and fullback Leon MacDonald in their attempt to regather the ball.
