But last Saturday the former Varsity (Varsity 1990 - 1994) and Oroua player went to Kimbolton to watch Oroua play Marist and "the itch" returned.
Even with 101 games for Munster and two seasons for Ireland A in 2002-03, he's only 33 and fit enough to play.
"If somebody's short I might play one or two club games before the end of the year," he said.
