Programme inspires young dairy manager
Still wearing a Saracen's jersey!! Richard Ash now plays lock for the Oroua Senior side, but whilst studying at Massey University - he played in the K's in 2000, then the Saracens (Varsity Colts team that played in Senior II) in 2001, then a year or two in the Rams. As a lock for the Saracens he was hardworking, no complaints type of tight forward and an excellent team member. Richard was recently interviewed in a local newspaper. Good on ya Dick.
SPEND time talking with dairy farm manager, Richard Ash, and you quickly get the feeling that the future of farming in this country is in good hands.
The 24-year-old manager of a dairy farm near Marton milks 600 cows, has a degree in Applied Sciences and National Certificates in Agribusiness Management (Financial Planning and Business Planning).
